Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Calln ("we", "us", "our"), including both the Calln web application (getcalln.com) and the Calln mobile app (Android). By accessing or using either platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
đĄ 1. What Calln Is
Calln is a platform that connects two anonymous users for real-time voice calls, text chat, and optional image sharing during calls. It is available as a web application at getcalln.com and as a mobile app on Android. Calls are peer-to-peer via WebRTC and are not recorded or stored by Calln. The service is provided free of charge.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service â including either the website or the mobile app â at any time without notice or liability.
đ 2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Calln on any platform. The Calln mobile app is rated 18+ on the Google Play Store. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly permit minors to use the platform. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately and permanently ban them.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has accessed Calln, please contact us at support@getcalln.com immediately.
â 3. Acceptable Use
You may use Calln to:
- Have lawful, respectful conversations with other users
- Use the text chat and image sharing features during calls
- Share images that are lawful, appropriate, and non-harmful
- Report users who violate these Terms using the Report button
- Disconnect from any call at any time using the End button
đĢ 4. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly forbidden and will result in an immediate permanent IP ban:
- Sharing, requesting, or transmitting sexually explicit or pornographic content â including via the image sharing feature
- Sharing images of minors in any inappropriate, sexual, or exploitative context â this will be reported to law enforcement
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech of any kind
- Impersonating other people, organisations, or Calln staff
- Attempting to record calls without the other user's explicit consent
- Using Calln to solicit money, goods, or personal information from other users
- Transmitting malware, spam, or other malicious content via any channel including chat or images
- Using automated bots, scripts, or tools to interact with the platform
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law
đ¸ 5. Image Sharing
Calln allows users to share images during live calls on both the website and the mobile app. By using this feature, you agree that:
- You will only share images you have the right to share
- You will not share any image that is illegal, explicit, harmful, or violates any third party's rights
- Images are transmitted in real-time and discarded from our servers immediately â we cannot retrieve them after they are sent
- You are solely responsible for any image you choose to share during a call
Misuse of the image sharing feature â including sharing explicit, illegal, or harmful content â will result in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
đī¸ 6. Recording Policy
Calln does not record calls. Audio travels directly between users via WebRTC peer-to-peer technology â our servers never receive it.
You must not record any call on Calln without the explicit, informed consent of the other participant. Covert recording of calls is illegal in many jurisdictions and is a violation of these Terms.
đĄī¸ 7. Moderation & Enforcement
Calln relies on user reporting to identify violations. The Report button in the call interface allows you to flag a user for inappropriate behaviour. Upon a report:
- The reported user is immediately disconnected and their IP address is banned for 24 hours
- Repeated or severe violations result in a permanent ban
- In cases involving illegal content â including inappropriate images â we may cooperate with law enforcement authorities
We reserve the right to terminate access for any user on any platform for any reason, at any time, without prior notice or explanation, at our sole discretion.
Šī¸ 8. Intellectual Property
The Calln name, logo, design, codebase, website, and mobile application are the intellectual property of Calln. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our prior written consent.
Any content you share during a call (voice, chat messages, images) remains your own. By using the service, you grant Calln no rights to your content â we do not store it.
â ī¸ 9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Calln is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service â on either the website or the mobile app â will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not control the content of calls between users and are not responsible for anything said, shared, or transmitted during them.
âī¸ 10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Calln and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Calln shall not exceed the greater of $1.00 USD or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free service, is $0.00).
đ¤ 11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Calln and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service on any platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) any image or content you share during a call; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
đ 12. Privacy
Your use of Calln on any platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy covers both the website and the mobile app. By using Calln, you consent to the data practices described there.
đĸ 13. Advertising
The Calln website displays advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks in order to fund and operate the free service. These ads currently appear as banner advertisements placed around the website interface. We do not control the specific content of third-party ads, and the display of an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement by Calln of any advertiser, product, or service.
Third-party advertising networks may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. For details on how advertising data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
The Calln mobile app is currently ad-free. If advertising is introduced to the mobile app, or if the format or placement of ads on the website changes, these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect this. Your continued use of Calln after such changes constitutes acceptance of them.
You acknowledge and accept the display of advertisements as a condition of using the free website.
đ 14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Calln â on either the website or the mobile app â after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
đ 15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. If negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration.
